Riyadh – Saudi Arabia's investment minister has underscored that the NEOM gigaproject, a futuristic urban development in the desert, is a “generational investment” with a long timeline. Minister Khalid Al-Falih, speaking at the World Investment Conference in Riyadh, highlighted that NEOM was never meant to be a short-term investment opportunity. Al-Falih reassured investors that while the foundational projects are still being developed, foreign investments will continue to increase as NEOM gains momentum. NEOM, a city being built in the Red Sea region, aims to host nine million people and is central to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy away from fossil fuels.
